Many people tend to shy away from outreach efforts. One of Satan's greatest tools to keep the church from its duties of outreach is to stir up fear in the hearts of God's people. This mission trip provides participants with the opportunity to explore two distinct mission fields, the inner-city of Atlanta and suburbs to the north of Atlanta.

The team will be working with a new church plant operating in Alpharetta, Georgia. This congregation not only is trying to reach its neighbors with the gospel, but in recent months has also seen the Lord open up some exciting ministry opportunities in one of the most depressed areas in the inner-city of Atlanta. Weekly outdoor services have been held on the steps of a burned out church building and God is adding weekly to the number of those availing themselves to the preaching of God’s word. Come explore missions in these areas and prayerfully consider how God might use you to meet needs in these distinct communities.

This mission team will be working with a suburban congregation in Alpharetta, GA.  The primary task will be to organize and help lead a Vacation Bible school program and do door-to-door work in and around the church community.

If you would like to overcome your fears of outreach, if you would like to grow in your boldness of proclaiming the gospel, this is a GREAT trip for you! Application Deadline for this trip is February 1, 2011.

Apply immediately!  If you would enjoy honing your metropolitan/urban ministry skills, this is the trip for you!
